Only 34% of people surveyed across six Middle Eastern nations—the UAE, Egypt, Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia—were aware of cultured meat.
Additionally, the study, which surveyed more than 2,000 people, found that public awareness of cultivated meat is the highest in Israel, followed by the UAE, and the lowest in Egypt. Despite identifying cultured meat products as being safe, healthy, and beneficial for food security, the respondents were unable to distinguish between alternative proteins and associated advantages.
